Resumo: Vehicular adaptation of assistive technologies aims to provide autonomy for people with difficulties in accessing the vehicle’s drive controls. There are devices available in the market that allow the vehicle to be driven in an automated way, but they are generally expensive or inefficient. This study aims to evaluate the gain of an automation model of an existing manual clutch pedal control system that is currently done by a manual command by the driver with reduced mobility. The system to be developed is designed to obtain clutch pedal data when the vehicle is slowing to stop or starting a movement. The developing system should replicate these commands based on the data previously obtained. To keep the development ongoing, it will be necessary knowledge about vehicle legislation, technical standards, electronic systems, data acquisition, vehicular communication protocol, data analysis, and system modeling.
