The aim of this work is to discuss some points on Basic Education, especially teaching methods and teaching and learning in High School, as well as Assessment practices and Basic Education Systems Reviews (SAEB), of Paraná Education (SAEP), National High School Exam (NHSE) and of the State University of Londrina Vestibular (UEL). To relate basic education and teaching and learning practices to Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Make brief analysis on generational changes (baby boomer, X, Y and Z) and the social and technological changes in this XXI century. To reflect and discuss whether there is an approach or distancing of pedagogical practices and ICT in school settings. Some reflections on the “traditional
