Resumo: This study aims to analyze the benefits and difficulties of allying digital technologies to teaching mathematics, as well as the teacher's difficulties in using them in their classes. For the development of the work, a bibliographical research was carried out on the emergence of technologies and their insertion in education. Data for analysis were obtained from high school students through an activity on frequencies and means, which was first taught in the classroom and the other in a computer lab. A questionnaire was presented to the students to evaluate their opinion with the methodology applied to the study of mathematics and also if the technologies should be inserted in other disciplines, showing that the inclusion of digital technologies can contribute much with the process of teaching and learning, Emphasizing the importance of the commitment of teachers.
