The aim of this study was to conduct a study on possible relationships between motivation to learn and anxiety in relation to mathematics in elementary school students. To this end, we used two types of scales both Likert-type, a related to math anxiety and another range of attitudes towards mathematics, where we can see that 75% of students participating in the research have a higher degree of anxiety in relation to mathematics and that these same students that have this higher degree of anxiety have neutral attitudes in relation to mathematics. As a conclusion, we understand that students may have created some kind of invisible protection when you have to perform some activity related to discipline, to avoid any kind of pain or punishment. |
