Resumo: This research was to demonstrate the theme that is a Toy Library and what is its social function in the life of a child of school age, since it is a place prepared to receive the child to play freely, spontaneously and therefore absorb contents general learn in the classroom, making it play as a way of achieving the theoretical learning that was obtained in the school, to the point the child absorb and reproduce situations of day-to-day using the raw materials of grade school, without the requirement that the school imposes on reproduction in the classroom. Used as a research bibliographies on the theme, such as data collection, interviews with teachers and students who frequent the area and playfulness learning via a means appropriate in an environment conducive for play outside the school routine. Research has shown that children who attend this space often can learn more easily because it is exercised the imagination and reasoning in games and this learning happens spontaneously. The teachers also approve of the space, since the students are looking forward the date of the visit.
