This work had as its theme the development of children with Down Syndrome through case study to present the skills and capabilities that has a child with this special need education, seeking to understand the process of teaching and learning, by taking basis of a student in a special school located in a city in the extreme northwest of Paraná. The work aims to reflect walks through analysis and cognitive development of individuals with Down syndrome occurs focusing on the value of understanding the characteristics and the importance of identifying suitable for the development of people with Down syndrome family stimuli and teachers working how to properly stimulate the child providing you with a meaningful learning, as access to school should contribute significantly to the process of human development, for it is through it that the bearer of special educational needs is socially integrated from the apprehension of norms and rules that are defined by socio - cultural group, including increasingly family in this mission. |
