Before you even think full-time need to reflect about integral education. The human being is composed of its diversity, historical, cultural, economic, physical, cognitive, affective, anyway, the human being is a being in development. So the school coming to meet the urgent need to form citizens capable of current actively in society, but also recognized as one of the parts which compose it. Is no easy task to the school institution, therefore, students arrive at school with a life story which starts from the womb, with all the experiences, whether good or bad. The full-time school should include in its curriculum, activities that encourage the development of potential, which will influence decisively in daily life outside of school. The students of today are no longer the same as five or ten years. One has to think, needs are the most diverse possible and the school needs to be attentive and sensitive to match social expectations. When speaking in social expectations mean the ills of society that in many cases prevail over the school routine. Overcome this challenge and get these kids of the situation of vulnerability is the giant step intended to achieve, however nothing will be done, if not reeducarmos our look forward to education and to the citizen. Este trabalho teve como temática buscar informações acerca da escola em tempo integral. Antes mesmo de pensar em tempo integral é preciso refletir sobre a educação integral. O ser humano é composto de sua diversidade, histórica, cultural, econômica, afetiva, física, cognitiva, enfim, o ser humano é um ser em desenvolvimento. Portanto, a escola vem para atender a necessidade urgente de formar cidadãos capazes de atual ativamente na sociedade, mas também, reconhecer-se como uma das peças que a compõe. Não é tarefa fácil a da instituição escolar, pois, os alunos chegam à escola com uma história de vida que se inicia desde o ventre, com todas as vivências, quer sejam boas ou más. A escola de tempo integral deverá incluir em seu currículo, atividades que favoreçam o desenvolvimento das potencialidades, na qual irá influenciar decisivamente no cotidiano fora da escola. Os alunos de hoje, não são mais os mesmos que há cinco ou dez anos atrás. Há de se pensar que, as necessidades são das mais diversas possíveis e a escola precisa estar atenta e sensível para corresponder às expectativas sociais. Ao falar em expectativas sociais refiro-me às mazelas da sociedade que em muitos casos prevalecem sobre a rotina escolar.
