This work had as its theme the development of a methodology for teaching chemistry classes in the 1st year of high school a State College of Ponta Grossa. Currently students demonstrate a lot of motivation and disinterest in the discipline of chemistry. One of the difficulties reported by students is that discipline has enough theory and difficult to understand. Thus, when it is applied something different from traditional classes, which facilitates students' understanding of the particular subject as an experiment becomes very interesting, because it can stimulate thinking the same, allowing students greater interaction during class. Developed for this experimental work with students which are a powerful a didactic resource for science education. The purpose of the experiment was important in education and understanding of the scientific method on "separation of mixtures" as this constructive approach allows students to formulate hypotheses, develop ways to test them, modify them according to the results. Through the questionnaires it was possible to demonstrate that only with the expositive class, some students' conceptions distanced themselves from conceptual, but after experimentation these dramatic improvements, but also to improve the understanding of the topic addressed in the classroom. Approximately 92% of students saw the experimental activity positively and as a complement of the content seen in theory. |
