Multidisciplinarity is, or ought to be, common in classrooms, because it addresses a number of everyday issues with specific content, giving meaning and contextualizing that approach. Analyzing this need, the general objective of this work is a proposal of activity involving mathematics and geography, creating mathematical models that predict population growth over the years, based on population data collected from geography and statistics sites. Three mathematical models of population will be presented as proposal of activities to be applied in different levels of education, medium and superior, using different mathematical languages. This activity promotes contextualized meaningful learning and agrees with the multidisciplinary approach. |
