The growth of the Internet, as well as its importance in contemporary society is undeniable and undisputed. The Internet is present in the life of most students, and even more in the life of adolescents and young people. In the school environment its use is constant and necessary, it is a current and complete tool. Due to this fact, teachers are increasingly turning to the world network as an aid to the teaching process. In this context, this paper has as objective to understand how the new technologies in special the Internet, can help teachers in this process. In addition, the present study seeks to discuss how the Internet and its characteristics can constitute a powerful pedagogical tool. Having in mind all the benefits already mentioned this paper also discusses the possibilities that the Internet gives the teacher in the classroom, through interactivity, in the search for new ways of teaching. Through qualitative research, using a questionnaire as a research instrument, as well as a meticulous and intense bibliographical review, it becomes possible to perceive the position and the role assumed by the teacher in the face of a new reality that the Internet offers. |
