The objective of this paper is to describe and analyze critically and reflectively, as the city of Itapetininga / SP has faced the social reality of violence against children and adolescents. To achieve this we conducted a qualitative field research in order to show the social reality through data collected in the Guardian Council of Itapetininga and Women's Police Station. To analyze and reflect on this reality was necessary to search for public policies, legal requirements and point the commitment and the prospects that the company has Itapetininga through public management, designed to reduce violence against children and adolescents. The field research and bibliographic references show that it has undertaken important actions and strategies to prevent and reduce violence against children and adolescents. The programs, projects, the establishment of two autonomous bodies, partnerships with government and non-governmental organizations were, no doubt, developments that contributed to addressing violence. However, the scenario presented by this field research shows that management actions are in addition to implementing projects, involving partners and set up organs. It is critical to an entrepreneurial management, with responsibility to implement policies and also contextualize the participation of all citizens in the challenge of changing local social reality. It is concluded that violence against and adolescents is a complex phenomenon that involves issues that are part our social, cultural and deserve to be discussed in all organs and institutions to protect the rights of children and adolescents, especially in schools the municipal Itapetininga. We believe that reality can be transformed through education and that subjects are able to overcome established patterns and to change their conceptions of life, their conceptions of being. |
