To achieve this we conducted a qualitative field research in order to show the social reality through data collected in the Guardian Council of Itapetininga and Women's Police Station. To analyze and reflect on this reality was necessary to search for public policies, legal requirements and point the commitment and the prospects that the company has Itapetininga through public management, designed to reduce violence against children and adolescents. The field research and bibliographic references show that it has undertaken important actions and strategies to prevent and reduce violence against children and adolescents. The programs, projects, the establishment of two autonomous bodies, partnerships with government and non-governmental organizations were, no doubt, developments that contributed to addressing violence. However, the scenario presented by this field research shows that management actions are in addition to implementing projects, involving partners and set up organs. It is critical to an entrepreneurial management, with responsibility to implement policies and also contextualize the participation of all citizens in the challenge of changing local social reality. It is concluded that violence against and adolescents is a complex phenomenon that involves issues that are part our social, cultural and deserve to be discussed in all organs and institutions to protect the rights of children and adolescents, especially in schools the municipal Itapetininga. We believe that reality can be transformed through education and that subjects are able to overcome established patterns and to change their conceptions of life, their conceptions of being. O objetivo deste trabalho é descrever e analisar, de forma crítica e reflexiva, como o município de Itapetininga/SP tem enfrentado a realidade social da violência contra a criança e o adolescente. Para alcançar esse objetivo realizamos uma pesquisa de campo quantitativa com a finalidade de mostrar a realidade social através de dados levantados no Conselho Tutelar de Itapetininga e da Delegacia da Mulher. Para analisar e refletir sobre essa realidade foi necessário pesquisar as políticas públicas, as determinações legais e apontar o compromisso e as perspectivas que a sociedade de Itapetininga tem, através da Gestão pública, desenvolvido para diminuir a violência contra a criança e o adolescente. A pesquisa de campo e os referencias bibliográficos mostraram que têm se empreendido importantes ações e estratégias para prevenir e diminuir a violência contra a criança e adolescentes. Os programas, projetos, a implantação dos dois Órgãos Autônomos, as parcerias com entidades governamentais e não-governamentais foram, sem dúvida, avanços que contribuíram para o enfrentamento da violência. Entretanto, o cenário apresentado por esta pesquisa de campo mostra-nos que gerir ações vai além de implantar projetos, envolver parceiros e instituir órgãos. É de fundamental importância uma gestão empreendedora, com competência de implementar políticas públicas e de também envolver a participação de todos os cidadãos no desafio de mudar a realidade social local. Conclui-se que a violência contra a criança e o adolescente é um fenômeno complexo que envolve questões que fazem parte de nossas relações sociais, culturais e merecem ser discutidas em todos os órgãos e instituições de proteção dos direitos da criança e adolescente, principalmente nas instituições escolares da rede municipal de Itapetininga.
