This study aims to present an analysis with a theoretical-conceptual approach of an agreement established between Taubaté-SP city and Taubaté University – UNITAU, to develop the educational policy of integral education in municipal schools. To that end, the problem faced by the municipality and the results obtained were lined on National Education Plan, current legislation and the understanding of São Paulo State Accounts Court. It was pointed out the content analysis of the data of a field survey that is carried out by the Education Department of the municipality, semi-annually, with Integral Education program team, carried out by a questionnaire. Participated on this research 1593 students enrolled in the program and 319 contracted employees, both categories presented their perspectives about full-time teaching. Identified as a result of the study a panorama of the impact on children´s and adolescents lives on this integral education public policy. The integral period is a national policy that has been inserted on Brazil political-educational agenda and is gradually being implemented by the municipalities as a way to reduce children´s and adolescents social vulnerability and to improve students proficiency. With the expansion of the students school journey, at municipality studied, democratized the access to cultural, playful, recreational and sports activities. Thus, the agreement presents a viable way to develop public policy. |
