This study has as its theme the teaching of genetics and probability in high school. The purpose of this study was to analyze the learning and understanding of the genetics concepts by students from two classes of second year in High School located in Cotia-SP, as well as the understanding of these issues associated with the teaching methodology used by biology teacher. The study sample had 70 students of second year, of whom 38 were of the regular High School and 32 of High School integrated with the technical administration. From the research, it was found that many students had difficulty in defining the concepts presented, showing that in addition to lectures and examples, practical lessons and everyday activities are also necessary, thus generating greater understanding of the topic by students, so that this knowledge can be a help in everyday life. |
