Resumo: According to the National Curricular Parameters (PCN), a healthy diet and human health has been considered increasingly urgent and important. There is consensus that quality of life is directly related to diet, and that most of the diseases that occur today are related to poor dietary habits and sedentary lifestyle. This awareness has come to the school and many initiatives have been developed around this issue, and see the importance of including the topic of healthy diet and health as a crosscutting theme of school curricula permeating the entire educational practice. Thus, this project was conceived after observing the eating habits of students in EE Prof Maria Rosa Nucci Pacífico Homem, the 7th grade state public Araras (SP) and an analysis of the transformation of the eating habits of students. It was found that of the 30 students, 60 % consume more processed foods, 57 % consume sugars in excess of what natural food habits whose origin is domestic, exemplified and influenced by parents. In conversations in the classroom, there was the habit of eating vegetables or fruit, leaving you consume nutrients critical to the development. Through this project, with lectures and observation and monitoring of food prepared in the school kitchen counting with the aid of the school garden, students took up the appreciation of natural food (organic).
