To carry out this research was used the bibliographic survey about environmental education and its inclusion in the school environment and the importance of the garden in the school and the case study was used to be possible to identify how many of these schools have implemented the school garden as a tool for teaching environmental education and point out the benefits to students through this project. According to the results, the environmental education through the school garden is part of the curriculum of only three institutions, but that the period of this work the three gardens were inactive in the school due to lack of transmission of materials in school B due to renovations at the school and at school C due to climatic conditions. It was noticed that lack interest from municipal and school managers to provide for the city's schools to implement participatory and ongoing educational projects , whose effectiveness has already been proven in several literatures and through many positive arguments of those who have worked with the theme.
