Resumo: The inappropriate soil management is one of the main factors that has affect the yields. Management systems involving cover crops plants are poorly studied, there is a need to expand the knowledge, looking for information for each species and region. The aim of this work was to evaluate the different soil management and its effect in the yield peach three at Santa Catarina Extreme West State, Brazil. The study was carried out in commercial peach tree orchard (Prunus persica L. Batsch), with Chimarrita and Premier varieties from private property in the São João do Oeste citty, Santa Catarina State, Brazil. The experiment was designed as completely blocks randomized, with five replicatons. It was tested the soil management systems with bare soil, spontaneous plants mowing, permanent mulching, cover green mowing, herbicide and lodging. The soil fertility, biomass production from cover crops, soil cover by spontaneous plants and the peach tree for nutritional leaves contend, diameter growth, flower bud fertility index, yield and fruit quality were evaluated. The results presented in these two years of implementation of the experiment it was concluded that soil management can affect crop yield components of peach. However, the results can’t be conclusive. The orchard had changed its management system recently, it was considering that before used onventional practices and now it was in the transition process about the soil management. There are also other factors that influence in the orchard, like climate. It was need a longer period of evaluation, with a sequence of crops to differentiate the component yield behavior peach tree. Then, it was possible to have better condition to define the best management system soil from peach tree orchard. At Santa Catarina Extreme West State. It was recommended in the peach tree orchard São Joao do Oeste city and region adopted the management with cover soil permanent, because, it is possible to offer get significant yield, mainly, it was use cover plants.
