For this, a questionnaire was applied to 100 students, aiming at unveiling their opinion and their knowledge about the subject. Among other findings, 66% said they did not know anything about this theme, while the remaining 34%, believed they knew about it. At the end, it is concluded that the existence of some resistance to the consumption of Transgenics is moderate, quantitatively in the same proportion of 34%, who claims to have any knowledge about this subject. It was still perceived that the school should pay more attention to this theme, since it is the largest diffuser of this information among the respondents, being largely ahead of television and other mass media. Este trabalho teve como temática observar a existência ou não de paradigmas limitadores ao consumo de alimentos transgênicos entre alunos do último ano do Ensino Fundamental. Para isso, aplicou-se um questionário a 100 alunos, objetivando descortinar a sua opinião e seu conhecimento a respeito do tema. Entre outras constatações, 66% declarou conhecer esta temática, enquanto o restante (34%) acredita não conhecer o tema. Conclui-se que a existência de alguma resistência ao consumo de Transgênicos é moderada, quantitativamente na mesma proporção que afirma não possuir conhecimento sobre o assunto.
