Many diseases are transmitted by food contaminated with microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses (DTAs) and can manifest themselves in an aggressive way to human health. Knowledge of hygiene and food safety is needed to raise awareness of public health problems and can be worked in and out of school. The objective of this work was to present a bibliographical survey (theoretical basis) on food safety and hygiene and the development of a pedagogical proposal (ludic activity) with basic education students. The theoretical basis was made through a bibliographical survey, with consultations in articles, academic papers and other scientific sources. The ludic activity was developed in the form of a board, covering investigative questions, concepts and practices of food safety. Before the development of the activity with students, a pre-test (form) was applied to evaluate the previous knowledge. After the activity was carried out, the perceptions and acquired knowledge were verified through a post-test. The school, TV and internet are the main sources of knowledge on the subject. The pedagogical proposal stimulated students' interest in the subject, and for more than 40% of the students the activity was stimulating in the teaching-learning process and for 60% the proposal met expectations. In addition, it was verified that the students assimilated considerable knowledge after the pedagogical proposal, improving the information about the care that must be taken in the handling and preparation of food, which are microorganisms may be pathogenic in unfavorable conditions of food hygiene, among others. The proposal developed contributed to the formation of conscious citizens and disseminators of information important to human health. |
