This work aimed to study the mathematical modeling applied to the teaching of Sciences, more precisely that of Physics. The research was carried out with a first year class, in which a problem or an experiment that needed an explanatory mathematical model for its solution is presented for investigation. It was analyzed the manifestation of cognitive abilities presented by the students and the behavior of the students according to the degree of freedom given during the experimentation. The modeling was presented as an interesting alternative for the teaching of Physics in activities with investigative bias and as a stimulus for scientific training. |
