As the economy is heavily based on knowledge, products and services, innovation gains importance because of its close relationship with competitiveness. Thus, companies seeking to improve their processes by reducing their production costs. The company where the case study was carried out aimed to reduce waste solder paste used in its operational process, identifying their background and how organizational innovation could help in the search for positive results. The actions taken were in the process of reusing solder that was discarded before the change and cleaning of stencil paste. The result was a reduction of 32% to 11% of waste solder paste and a percentage of 65% reduction in weekly consumption of solder paste. The methodology used for data collection was through a questionnaire applied to a direct interview with the Director and Coordinator of Lean Manufacturing company on the deployment of LEAN SIX SIGMA method. |
