This paper presents a qualitative approach in the form of case study which was applied to the Social Balance IBASE model developed by the Federal Technological University of Paraná - Campus Pato Branco. It opted for such a model to be what best suits the higher education institutions and is the best known in Brazil. The main objective was to verify the reality of the institution in relation to social and environmental responsibility practices. To achieve this goal we sought to understand literature in the social balance concepts , social responsibility , environmental and economic. Phase practices was given to the collection of data from the heads of administrative sectors through semi structured questionnaire surveys in addition to reports available on their official page . Despite the unavailability of some information the result was satisfactory and showed that the institution meets legal factors related to social responsibility and the most important , is treading a path directed to good social and environmental practices . |
