It opted for such a model to be what best suits the higher education institutions and is the best known in Brazil. The main objective was to verify the reality of the institution in relation to social and environmental responsibility practices. To achieve this goal we sought to understand literature in the social balance concepts , social responsibility , environmental and economic. Phase practices was given to the collection of data from the heads of administrative sectors through semi structured questionnaire surveys in addition to reports available on their official page . Despite the unavailability of some information the result was satisfactory and showed that the institution meets legal factors related to social responsibility and the most important , is treading a path directed to good social and environmental practices . Este trabalho apresenta uma abordagem qualitativa em forma de estudo de caso onde se aplicou o modelo de Balanço Social desenvolvido pelo IBASE na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná - Câmpus Pato Branco. Optou-se por tal modelo por ser o que mais se adapta as instituições de ensino superior além de ser o mais conhecido no Brasil. O objetivo principal do trabalho foi verificar a realidade da instituição em relação às praticas de responsabilidade socioambiental. Para alcançar tal objetivo buscou-se na literatura entender os conceitos de balanço social, responsabilidade social, ambiental e econômica. A fase prática deu-se com a coleta de dados junto a chefias dos setores administrativos através de questionário semi estruturado além de levantamentos em relatórios disponíveis em sua página oficial.
