The objective of this research was to analyze the level of knowledge of neighboring communities to the Forest Ring, seeking information available to the wider community, through a literature review and through interviews with 30 residents, of each neighborhood, of 4 districts of Camaçari city, being them Parque Floresta, Mangueiral, Parque Satélite and Cristo Redentor. The results indicated that there is little information available to be shared by the community, whether in the agencies responsible for management of the area of the Ring, either in digital media, on issues and academic papers. Additionally, it was found that some information available are not true. The field research showed that the interviewed majority knows the Forest Ring, but few know more information about deployment, function, management and protection actions in the ring, such as the implantation year, size, responsible organ, and conservation practices, that take place regularly. O Anel Florestal do Polo Industrial de Camaçari é uma área, implantada junto e ao redor do Polo Industrial de Camaçari, em 1978, composta por vegetação nativa e exótica, conhecido também como cinturão verde, com a principal função de manter uma distância segura entre a comunidade urbana e industrial. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi analisar o grau de conhecimento de comunidades vizinhas ao Anel Florestal, buscando informações disponíveis a comunidade em geral, através de um levantamento bibliográfico, e aplicando uma entrevista a 30 moradores, por bairro, de 4 bairros do município de Camaçari, sendo eles Parque Florestal, Mangueiral, Parque Satélite e Cristo Redentor. Os resultados indicaram que poucas são as informações disponíveis a serem compartilhadas pela comunidade, seja nos órgãos responsáveis pela gestão da área do Anel, seja nos meios digitais, em matérias e trabalhos acadêmicos. Adicionalmente foi verificado que algumas informações disponíveis não são verdadeiras.
