It was evaluated how toys and games affect the learning process of children from 8 to 11 years old of environmental education on elementary school, as well as its playful contribution to the development of the child, seeking to identify what relevance they have for such process. Indeed, it was found that, for environmental education be widespread, more effectively, the practice of environmental education in the school context is very important since it is an essential working space to illustrate the meaning of the environmental struggle and increase the training for citizenship. Thus, it was possible to verify the process of creating a critical society capable of forming citizens that provide a new vision of man and nature. A study was developed based in field research in two stages, before and after an awareness campaign, which consisted on making games for the purposes of environmental knowledge evaluation in elementary school. According to literature, it is well established not only the importance of playfulness in the educational process, but also methods used to achieve the child’s intellectual development in the period comprised in elementary school. Thus, the task of the school should be to facilitate the playfulness of the school life. |
