With the rapid growth of cities and great migratory flow of people residing in these amounted to buildings, rather than the conservation of green spaces. Against this reality, the national urban space are still untouched and places that preserve the ecological diversity of flora and fauna, where actions are taken towards the realization of a critical environmental education, which uses the practice to change behavior. In this context, this work has as its theme the actions of environmental education that are developed precisely in one of those rare places of preservation, which is the Dunas Park, managed by UNIDUNAS - Free University of dunes and Restinga de Salvador. Initially, the research brings the concept of environmental education, its legislation, effective in society, man's relationship with the environment and sustainable development. Besides seeking to know the activities of nongovernmental organizations in this endeavor. Then, through visits to the park and participation in educational activities, environmental education is experienced critical and modifier, which contributes to change the social reality. Finally, the survey reaches its ultimate goal, by demonstrating the educational potential that are developed in an urban Environmental Park, last remnant of sandbank in Brazilian urban space, thus contributing to a real environmental education transformative. |
