This work had as its theme the school garden as a methodological strategy to develop environmental education. The school garden is an important mediating element to work on the environmental issue, since it allows establishing a relationship between students and the environment. It presents an initiative that involves the school environment in favor of the environmental issue and the health and quality of life where, through the garden, it aims at changing the behavioral character and awareness of environmental causes. The work was carried out through pure basic research of exploratory and descriptive character whose purpose is to expand the field of knowledge, using bibliographic research procedures. The importance and purpose of the implementation of the school garden is then discussed through the concept of environmental education related to formal and informal education. |
