This work had the theme to analyze the level of knowledge of the population of Paranavaí / PR in the issue of the selective collection of solid waste. It was based on the current situation of the environmental situation of the municipality of Paranavaí / PR, due to the recent epidemic of dengue that affected the inhabitants of the municipality, in which there was a lack of knowledge of the inhabitants on the theme nature and sustainability. Many citizens still have the habit of throwing trash in the streets or in places prohibited by environmental legislation, causing serious problems and risks, especially of health. The data collection was done through questionnaires, to the most varied age groups, social level, educational level and gender. This analysis of the results will support more sustainable actions, through good environmental practices, since it has highlighted the need for communication in the media about the importance of selective collection and its consequences in the economic, social and environmental spheres. |
