This work had as its theme the elaboration of a diagnosis of the sanitation condition in the rural community of Linha Botafogo, Itaipulândia / PR. For this, a bibliographic survey was carried out on the current sanitation situation with a focus on rural sanitation in Brazil. A questionnaire was also prepared and applied to a sample of local residents, with the objective of ascertaining the degree of access and knowledge of basic sanitation practices. Also, we chose the collection of drinking water samples to evaluate the microbiological quality through the presence of coliforms in the samples, where 100% of the samples had total Coliforms. The data were organized in tables which allowed us to point out a worrying reality in the rural sanitation issues in the locality. This indicates that the practices adopted should be discussed and reviewed as well as the proposal of more efficient measures regarding the sanitation issue for rural populations with a focus on an adequate quality of life and health, as well as environmental aspects of the environment, which must be respected and considered in all human practices. |
