Resumo: This study was to analyze the thematic perceptions of users with respect to services rendered in Paulista Metropolitan Trains Company (CPTM), focusing on Line 8 - Diamond. For the development of research analyzes the flow of trips in the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo (MRSP) and the data obtained by research firm ANTP - Association of Public Transport. Based on the results of the survey with users, both positive and negative aspects of service were identified. Data analysis has shown that improvement actions are being taken on public transportation, so that it becomes a more frequently used mode. Actions directed to public transport demonstrate the need to think about it in a general way, as a public policy problem that interferes with the well being of citizens.
