Resumo: The forestry companies are looking for synergy between operations in order to minimize the overall costs of the transferred wood to the papers mills or to sawmills customers. This paper examined if the investment in secondary or graveled roads is viable with respect to skidding wood into classes of pre-defined distances with tractor type "skidder" for Pinus spp forests with more than 1.8 m³ / tree with the main customers of sawmills, plywood, and furniture industries destination, and IAV average of 0.35 m³ of Eucalyptus spp / tree, with purpose to manufacturing process. The study indicates that investment of roads intermediary are viable for both forests and graveled roads only for forests of Pinus spp.
