This work, we will present a study on the Green's Theorem. Starting with a brief historical approach to the life of the mathematician George Green, developer of Theorem, the work brings its detailed demonstration, followed by a numerical example. Among the many applications of the Green's Theorem in electromagnetism and in Vector Calculus, we will study here the operation of a device called Polar Planimeter, used to calculate areas of closed regions. For the development of the calculations presented, we will take as a base the main concepts of the Vector Calculus, necessary for the understanding of the Theorem studied. |
