Resumo: The reasons why students drop out of undergraduate courses at a higher education institution may be diverse in terms of financial nature or some health problem or even the fact that a public university may not have an adequate physical structure for which the course needs. This study aimed to identify the main factors that led to the evasion of students from the Bachelor of Physical Education course of a public educational institution. The study approached the case with a quantitative methodology, through a questionnaire developed by the researcher in partnership with the counselor and that had 13 closed questions, in which the participants pointed out from 0 to 5 the level of relevance of that reason. The questionnaire was then sent to the participants through a digital platform of the institution to the e-mail address of the 28 individuals evaded from the course só that they could respond. The data were tabulated and converted into percentage and presented in graphs. Then, the data were analyzed based on the theoretical reference. As a conclusion we can say that, students avoided the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education of a public university in the state of Paraná for different reasons and not just a single determining factor.
