According to the American Academy of Orthopedics, posture is defined as the state of balance of muscles and bones capable of protecting other structures of the human body from trauma, whether in standing, sitting or lying position (JÚNIOR et al., 2004 ), but there is no consensus as to the best method to be used to evaluate human posture, since there are innumerable techniques, protocols, or methods created over time, these methods can be quantitative or qualitative (MOURA et al. Al., 2017). The qualitative methods are subject to subjectivity and personal criteria of each evaluator, already quantifiable methods, the discrepancies between measurements made by different evaluators is practically null (IUNES, et al., 2009). The aim of this study was to present a proposal of a mobile application to evaluate body symmetry in a quantitative way through measurements of the anatomical points heights. A survey of anatomical points of easy observation and pointed out in the literature as points of body asymmetry was made, following the elaboration of the application screens in the Adobe XD prototype software, User Interface (UI), and finally elaboration of user utilization mechanics, User Experience (UX). The prototype was able to allocate all necessary measurements and plots them in a graphical form that facilitates the visualization and analysis of the evaluator and it is concluded that a mobile software of evaluation of the body symmetry, would be of great assistance to quantify the bilateral differences of the human body. |
