Ecology is a relatively young science and has several nuances, strands and peculiarities. Coined in the 19th century, it has been used constantly in the 21st century by the media, especially due to the human being's bad actions in the environment. The media makes use of its terms, mainly, with the objective of alarming, often, a sensationalist content. In addition, with the Internet, the circulation of false news makes the school more engaged in the production and transmission of serious and concrete knowledge to combat ignorance. The journals have numerous publications, but few deal with the teaching of ecology, and even less with the teaching of ecology in basic education. The present work aimed to reduce this scarcity, discussing authors who deal with ecology from different perspectives, its history, its aspects. Through a survey of Brazilian academic production regarding the teaching of Ecology content and exploratory and qualitative analysis, the objective was to evaluate the pedagogical methodologies used for the teaching of ecology in the early years of elementary school. The results obtained show us that participatory, practical and interactive methodologies enrich the transmission of knowledge and are great tools to create reflective thinking and raise the need for much needed change for generations to come. From this, we can conclude that we are moving towards visuality, because over the years of the studies analyzed, we see that the media are improving. |
