The problematic of this study is given by the fact that the role of control is not adequately clear in general within the organizations. In this context, the study in question will analyze how the controllership can contribute in the decision making process, as well as demonstrate its benefits in the organization. In order to do so, the aim was to demonstrate the role and objective of the control in the organizations, as well as the functions and responsibilities of the professional of the area and to verify the information used by the managers to make decisions. Such questions were answered through research in books, articles and research on the internet. Finally, the results obtained were from previous studies, focused on the same theme, and compared with the theory. O presente estudo apresenta como tema a importância da controladoria no processo decisório nas organizações. A problemática deste estudo se deu pelo fato de que o papel da controladoria não está devidamente claro de modo geral dentro das organizações. Neste contexto, o estudo em questão buscará analisar como a controladoria pode contribuir no processo decisório, bem como demonstrar seus benefícios na organização. Para isso, buscou-se demonstrar a função e o objetivo da controladoria nas organizações, bem como as funções e responsabilidades do profissional da área e verificar as informações utilizadas pelos gestores para a tomada de decisões. Tais questões foram respondidas através de pesquisas em livros, artigos e pesquisa na internet.
