Resumo: The use of motor vehicles has increased in recent years and, as a result of this intense use of cars, air pollution increases. This study aimed to carry out an inventory of atmospheric emissions from motor vehicles, used by the community that attends the Federal Technological University of Paraná-Campus Londrina. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to consult, in the CONPET Table (National Program for the Rationalization of the Use of Petroleum Derivatives and Natural Gas), all the cars used by the community that frequents UTFPR-LD according to the make, model and year. The data contains information on the following air pollutants released by vehicle exhaust: Non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrogen oxides (NOx) and Carbon dioxide (CO2), in addition to information about mileage. With these data, it was possible to estimate the total emissions, multiplying by the average distance of 10 km that each individual drives to the University and by the number of times that they go back and forth in the week to college, as well as by the number of weeks of the semester. . The study was carried out with 259 cars distributed in 13 brands and manufactured between the years 2013 and 2019. For the pollutant NMHC, it resulted in an average of 0.0217 g / km and a total of 10.1198 kg / semester launched in the air, with the Chevrolet brand presenting the highest average value and Volkswagen for the highest total emission. For the CO pollutant, the average was 0.4005 g / km and total emission of 178.1291 kg / semester with the highest values for the Jeep and Ford brands, respectively. For the CO2 compound, the average was 114.2422 g / km and the total emission was 52583.4 kg / semester. This time the brands with the worst result were Jeep and Hyundai respectively. Finally, the NOx contaminant had an average of 0.0280 g / km and a total emission of 13.7196 kg / semester, with higher values for the Renault and Fiat brands, respectively. The best mileage was presented by the brands Peugeot and Chevrolet. Finally, through the entire study, it was possible to verify which car brands contribute the most to vehicular air pollution and to be able to encourage consumers to buy with awareness. In general, the values were within the limits allowed by the legislation.
