Resumo: |
Automated disease tracking has become an increasingly important tool today. This dissertation describes the prototype of a disease tracking system for the Brazilian territory, preliminary tested at the state level, in Paraná, and at the municipal level, in Curitiba. The system is designed to generate data that allows analysis at different levels of granularity, from small municipalities to the national scale. The objective is to extract and present relevant information through unstructured data obtained from news portals. Another goal is to understand the different approaches to automated disease tracking and the advantages and limitations of each revised model. The study results shows the viability of the developed prototype and allowed the author to identify some patterns in the processed data. It also shows the possibility of applying the data tracker developed in other research segments, making only a few adaptations. At the end of the document, the author also presents some suggestions for simplifying and optimizing data extraction process. |
