This work has as its theme the fundamental work processes for public education to reach democratic management. This type of school management began to be developed in Brazilian schools in the early 1980s and was based on democratic performance. It started to aim to strengthen democratic relations in school institutions through the exercise of sharing determinations about school objects. Therefore, the research raised the following problem: What basic elements of democratic management make up the search for school autonomy? The research is bibliographic in nature, carried out through a literature review based on the authors Bastos (1999), Cury (1997), Libâneo (2004), Dalmas (1994), Stedile (2008), highlighted the concept of management, its challenges and its contribution to a participatory and active educational system. Therefore, it was found that democratic management, due to its origin, is a process that aims at effective changes in the school scenario, valuing the associative and cooperative participation of the school community in decisions, helping to achieve quality education for all. |
