Resumo: Education management presents the challenges imposed on the school manager in the implementation of the process of change in school organizations that seek to adapt to the new standards of today's society, through innovation and participatory management practices. The present work will also address the importance of the insertion of new technologies in the school environment, enabling increased competitiveness, through innovative solutions in the management and teaching learning process. This study aims to discuss the performance of school management in the search for organizational change of the school so that it provides high­level education to students. The methodology used was bibliographic research in periodic books, internet sites and field research in municipal institutions of elementary school. Resulting in: However, for there to be organizational change in the school, it is necessary to invest in the transformation of the attitudes of the educational professionals of the institution, with the design that they face innovation as a challenge and feel stimulated by personal motivation and thus become able to go beyond their own limits, because the school must invest in order for the school organization to increase its capacity to create and innovate to be open to transformations. Thus, it is concluded that the pedagogical and administrative practices of school professionals need to be oriented towards participatory strategies, as a way to ensure a continuous and quality formal education to students.
