Resumo: This study was carried out with professionals from a software company located in southwestern Paraná. Its main objective is to assess the degrees of Burnout Syndrome based on the application of the Maslach Burnout Inventory - General Survey (MBI - GS) scale. The strategies for the field research were a Survey and the application of MBI scales, thus, this research had a quantitative character. The concepts of interpersonal relationships, emotion in relationships, people in organizations, organizational climate, organizational culture and negative aspects of work are explained, including the burnout syndrome. The results were the presentation of a moderate level of Burnout in the organization, with high levels of Emotional Exhaustion and Work Effectiveness and low in Cynicism. An indepth study of the organization is suggested regarding the alignment of expectations among employees, aiming at continuous improvement and the reduction of its Burnout level.
