The initial question was “Where and how does continuing education take place? Is there continuous training aimed only at teachers who teach the subject of mathematics?”. Thus, the database used was the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations. For a better foundation, the research begins by addressing initial training, continuing education and its challenges, and soon after, the document analysis is carried out. There were seven (7) works analyzed from 2010 to 2014 and six (6) works from 2015 to 2021. The established chronological order was due to the fact that before 2015, there were other National Curriculum Guidelines and as of 2015, the Opinion and Resolution 02/2015 will then be valid. O objetivo deste trabalho foi a análise documental sobre a formação continuada docente na escola no período de 2010 a 2021. A base de dados utilizada, foi a Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações. Inicia-se abordando sobre a formação inicial, formação continuada e seus desafios, e logo após, a análise documental é realizada. Foram sete trabalhos analisados no período de 2010 a 2014 e seis trabalhos no período de 2015 a 2021. Como resultados, os cursos ofertados nem sempre atendem as demandas dos professores. Nota-se que ainda é preciso mais formações que vão de encontro com os problemas encontrados em sala de aula.
