Resumo: Civil construction in Brazil is undergoing a process of development, introducing new construction systems that present advantages over the conventional system used throughout the country. The reality of the Brazilian population shows a very large housing deficit, and with that, there is a need for a change in the culture in the constructive methods implemented. As a way of solving this problem, there must be an intense search for more effective methods that present speed and comfort equal to or superior to the conventional one, not allowing an increase in the cost of execution. In this context, the Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) constructive system appears, used in several countries around the world and with great thermal and acoustic efficiency, besides presenting a reduced execution time in relation to other systems. The main objective of this work is to demonstrate and compare the constructive steps of this system, listing its advantages and disadvantages, as well as, through a pilot project that fits the requirements of a housing for low-income population, to analyze price and time requirements for execution, using as a parameter the conventional masonry system currently used in Brazil. As a result, he was optimistic about his arrival in the civil construction market in Brazil, with reservations about his investment and knowledge in the country, which directly interfere in the final value of the construction.
