The reality of the Brazilian population shows a very large housing deficit, and with that, there is a need for a change in the culture in the constructive methods implemented. As a way of solving this problem, there must be an intense search for more effective methods that present speed and comfort equal to or superior to the conventional one, not allowing an increase in the cost of execution. In this context, the Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) constructive system appears, used in several countries around the world and with great thermal and acoustic efficiency, besides presenting a reduced execution time in relation to other systems. The main objective of this work is to demonstrate and compare the constructive steps of this system, listing its advantages and disadvantages, as well as, through a pilot project that fits the requirements of a housing for low-income population, to analyze price and time requirements for execution, using as a parameter the conventional masonry system currently used in Brazil. As a result, he was optimistic about his arrival in the civil construction market in Brazil, with reservations about his investment and knowledge in the country, which directly interfere in the final value of the construction. A construção civil no Brasil vive um processo de desenvolvimento, inserindo novos sistemas construtivos que apresentam vantagens em relação ao sistema convencional utilizado em todo no país. A realidade da população brasileira mostra um déficit habitacional muito grande, e com isso, há uma necessidade de mudança na cultura nos métodos construtivos implementados. Como forma de resolução de tal problema, é preciso que haja uma intensa procura por métodos mais eficazes que apresentam rapidez e conforto igual ou superior ao convencional, não permitindo aumento no custo para execução. Neste contexto, surge o sistema construtivo Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF), empregado em vários países ao redor do mundo e com grande eficiência térmica e acústica, além de apresentar um tempo de execução reduzido em relação a outros sistemas. Este trabalho apresenta como principal objetivo demonstrar e comparar as etapas construtivas desse sistema, elencando suas vantagens e desvantagens, assim como, através de um projeto piloto que se encaixe nas exigências de uma moradia para população de baixa renda, analisar quesitos de preço e tempo para execução, usando como parâmetro o sistema convencional em alvenaria utilizado atualmente no Brasil.
