Resumo: The current academic work aims to analyze how the structuring of chemistry contents is presented in textbooks based on the Brazilian Common National Curriculum Base from 2017. The investigations use exploratory qualitative research based on criteria established by the Brazilian National Textbook Program from 2021 and specifications proposed by the Brazilian Common National Curriculum Base from 2017. The analyzes objectify to observe the proper exploration of criteria and specifications to encourage a significant knowledge. Considering the importance of the Textbook as a source of information and substancional resource in the dynamics of classes, stands out the importance of organizing the content in a way that it supports the classes and consolidates the student's development. After the observations, it has been understood that the books presented concise topics, showing the proposition of specifications exploration as the major concern at the cost of emptying chemical concepts. Regarding the criteria established by the Brazilian National Textbook Program, it has been noticed that the majority of criteria are presented properly through activities, figures and complementary texts.
