The purpose of this thesis is to analyze how the emergence of the discourse about gender ideology is characterized by a contrary reaction to the effectiveness of sex education in Brazil. This work articulates the discussion that is linking gender with the discourse of the "Gender Ideology" and the systematic sex education in Brazil. The methodology consists of a documentary research, supported in the post-critical theoretical reference using the analysis of the Foucaultian discourse as an analytical instrument. In order to develop this work, an Internet research was carried out on the term Gender Ideology and its notoriety during the vote on the National Education Plan - PNE (2014-2024). The research gathered information through a free search on Google. Seventeen articles were selected, which composes Table 1 - Gender ideology, which sought the origin of the term gender ideology, and eighteen articles that compose Table 5 - Gender ideology in PNE, in which the key words: gender ideology in PNE, were used. The term "gender ideology" began to be used in movements contrary to gender and orientation discussion, the term gained notoriety during the PNE (2014-2024) vote, and was disseminated through the Catholic Church. In the dialogue established between Sexual Education and the "Gender Ideology", it was verified that there is a conservative discourse that provides a basis for a debate regarding the existence of "gender ideology" to the detriment of gender studies. The discourse identified in relation to Sexual Education at other times in history is similar to the present one, in which there is a marked presence of family and religion in political positions of the State. These political groups develop a discourse that encourages the protection of the child, depriving it of the content of Sexual Education, as well as the discussion that involves the responsibility of educating for sexuality. |
