Resumo: The present study is based on the need to describe the importance of family agroindustry in the process of rural development in the municipality of Pato Branco. For this, we carried out an analysis of the historicity of the colonization of the municipality, in order to pinpoint the evolutionary process in which the family farmer permeates with the imposition of time and modernity to the characteristic of agro conceiver family. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify the agroindustry predecessors and current, through a qualitative research in books and textbooks, as well o openinterviews with politicians, techniciansand farmers trainers of historicity hall. In a second stage, it seeks to delimit the map the agroindustry 45 present today and their productive chains that focuses the research with existing data in health surveillance of the municipality, in the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and in interviews with the managers of these units. A situation that enabled a site assessment and interpretation further analysis of the agroindustry as indicators of health and sustainability in the comparative reports of good manufacturing practices and pre-existing in the health sector. The qualitative research focused on interpretation and intersection of these data that allowed the construction of socioeconomic maps and the demarcation of the main marketing channels of the municipality, carrying with him the entire process, economic, social, environmental and health present in the formatting of the family agroindustry of Pato Branco. The proposal of the research beyond the historic concept was in search of the origin, age, level of education and family succession of current actors, their forms of production and food chains in relation with the different marketing channels between them, the fair market (the producer), school meals (Food Acquisition Program and National School Feeding Program)and markets of the municipality and the region, managing to map all the economic paths of rural de Pato Branco. In summary, this research provides numerous reflections on the formation and configuration of family agroindustry transpositions to their relatives. Enables the relationship with the public policies of the agricultural, health and the environment being fundamental to the formatting of the sustainable development of Pato Branco.
