Resumo: Recent technological advances have provided devices that enable the integration between real and virtual elements of the scene. Augmented Reality (AR) technics enables the user to maintain his sense of presence inside the virtual environment and can interact with virtual objects. Many of AR applications run on desktop PCs or notebook computers in which is performed the capture of the scene by a conventional webcam. In these applications, the system shows the AR environment within a window (the screen) to users. Camera pose and position estimation is important since the local in which we capture the scene can affect the accuracy of tasks. The objective of this research is apply subjective experiments to find the best camera pose and position setting in AR applications that running on desktops.
