From visits and conversations with the owner, it was possible to have a vision of the environments and changes that could be implemented. The application of the five senses, in an effective and continuous way, is able to bring changes about habits, motivation and cultural change of the organization, which will result in increased productivity and reduction of waste. Faced with the impossibility of applying the program, references and cases of application in other companies were brought in order to perceive the benefits and difficulties encountered in the application of the program. To be successful, it is necessary to commit and engage everyone, because implementing the program is not only a way of organizing the environment, it is a cultural change, a change in the way of thinking and acting in the day to day of the organization. Is not easy to change attitudes and environments with which we were accustomed, because of that, is necessary instruction, awareness and use of control tools for the program to be applied and maintained. Este trabalho apresenta algumas propostas de ações para a implantação do Programa 5S em um empresa farinheira da Região Metropolitana de Curitiba. A partir de visitas e conversas com o proprietário, foi possível ter uma visão dos ambientes e das mudanças que poderiam ser implantadas. A aplicação dos cinco sensos, de maneira eficaz e contínua, é capaz de trazer mudanças de hábitos, motivação e mudança cultural da organização, o que resultará no aumento da produtividade e na redução dos desperdícios. Diante da impossibilidade de aplicação do programa, foram trazidas referências e casos de aplicação em outras empresas, a fim de percebermos os benefícios e dificuldades encontradas na aplicação do programa. Para que se tenha sucesso, é necessário o comprometimento e engajamento de todos, pois implantar o programa não é apenas realizar uma arrumação do ambiente, é uma mudança cultural, uma mudança na maneira de pensar e agir no dia-a-dia da organização.
