Resumo: The outlook for consumption contemplated today represents more individuals who meet their needs so as to be considered a synonym of wellbeing and quality of life and overlapping the important issues such as health, mental balance, social and environmental concerns. The Design, among many other areas, has been redefining its role regarding this issue, seeking to turn this scenario into a new concept of living well by consuming less and better. In the role of facilitator of processes, the designer has the possibility of acting mediating the relationship between stakeholders, creating new forms of consumption and seeking to mitigate the social and environmental impacts. To illustrate one of several performance possibilities of the designer in this sense, this project presents a Product-Service System that seeks to encourage the consumption of pasteurized milk, which is a more natural and healthy product, strengthening the image of local producers and inserting use a returnable packaging along with home delivery of the product, thus seeking to minimize the environmental impact on the carton. Thus, we propose a reflection on the role of design in stimulating consumption, so that more and more studies and projects coming from this area contemplate a sustainable systems thinking.
